A business magazine from the Colgate University

ABOUT
ABOUT CBR
Colgate Business Review (CBR) was created in response to a common question faced by students at liberal arts institutions: how to pursue a business career without a traditional business major or predefined pathway. Rather than viewing this difference as a limitation, CBR was founded on the belief that a liberal arts education offers a distinct advantage—one rooted in critical thinking, creativity, communication, and intellectual flexibility. We exist to demonstrate how these skills translate into real-world impact across finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, strategy, and beyond.
As Colgate’s first student-run publication bridging the liberal arts and the business world, CBR produces original analysis, commentary, and storytelling for a broad audience of students, alumni, and professionals. Our writers, designers, and photographers highlight ideas shaping today’s economy and share the stories of Colgate students and alumni who are innovating, taking risks, and building meaningful careers. If you’ve ever wondered how to turn a liberal arts background into a business advantage, CBR is a place to explore, learn, and engage—showing that business at Colgate looks different, and that difference is precisely its strength.
CBR is your GATE-way to business.
